While a workload is captured or replayed, MyCRT records database metrics into a metrics file. After a workload is replayed one or more times, the system uses these metrics files to display the metrics gathered so that the capture and replay(s) can be compared to each other. This will allow the user to view the differences between them by providing the user with information regarding memory, I/O, and CPU load.
Steps to View Capture Metrics
From the environment dashboard page, click the “View” button on a past capture.
Click the “Metrics” tab at the top of the page.
Select the metrics you would like to view from the “Metric Types” drop-down menu.
Optional: Select the “Show Area Chart” button to show the area under the graph.
Optional: Click the “Download” button next to each metric to download the metrics in the raw .json file.
Note: The metrics raw .json files are also available in S3 in the bucket/folder specified under the “Capture Details” tab.
Steps to Compare Capture and Replay Metrics
